Counseling Perspective

Schema Therapy counselling

Schema Therapy is an integrative approach that helps individuals identify and understand deeply rooted patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. These patterns, known as schemas, often develop from unmet emotional needs or difficult early experiences and can continue to influence relationships and wellbeing in adulthood. Through therapy, clients learn to recognise unhelpful schemas, understand their triggers, and develop healthier ways of responding. Schema Therapy combines elements of cognitive behavioural, attachment, experiential, and emotion-focused approaches to support meaningful and lasting change.
