Biography
Karisa works with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, identity, relationships, burnout, grief, and the quiet feeling of no longer feeling connected to themselves. She works alongside you to understand the deeper patterns that shape how you think, feel, relate, and move through the world.
Together, you'll strengthen your authentic self while exploring inner conflicts, the protective ways you've learned to adapt, your belief systems, emotional landscape, and the experiences that continue to influence your life today. Her hope is to support you in moving beyond living on autopilot or in survival mode, towards a life that feels more authentic, intentional, and aligned with your values.
Karisa holds a Master of Counselling and integrates psychotherapy with Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and trauma- and somatically-informed practice.
Clients often describe Karisa's style as warm, thoughtful, and deeply curious. She offers a collaborative space where you can slow down and explore your inner world with both compassion and practical insight.
Karisa often returns to Carl Jung's observation: “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” She believes therapy offers a space to gently uncover these blind spots, bringing awareness to the patterns, assumptions, and ways of relating that are often difficult to see on our own. As awareness grows, so does the capacity for choice. Rather than repeating what has always felt familiar, clients can begin responding with greater intention, creating space for meaningful growth and lasting change.
Whether you're new to therapy or well-versed in psychology, take a breather with Karisa.
Sessions are available in English, both in person and online, with conversational Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia.
