Mood disorders affect how you feel on a daily basis, causing ongoing sadness, hopelessness, or extreme mood swings, as seen in bipolar disorder. These conditions can make it hard to enjoy life, manage responsibilities, and maintain relationships. Common mood disorders include Depression, Dysthymia, and Bipolar Disorder, which can all be managed with the right treatment and support.

Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions that deeply affect eating habits and body image. They can involve restrictive eating, binging, or purging, and often have severe physical, emotional, and social consequences. Common eating disorders include Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder, which usually require professional support to manage and treat.

Anxiety disorders involve constant worry, fear, or nervousness that interfere with daily life and make it hard to function normally. These overwhelming feelings can lead to avoidance of certain situations and affect social interactions. Common types include Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Panic Attacks, and Phobias.

Compulsions

Compulsions are strong urges to engage in behaviours or use substances that can be hard to control. These actions often serve as a way to cope with emotional distress but can lead to unhealthy patterns. Common compulsions include dependencies on alcohol, sex, or gambling, all of which can disrupt everyday life and relationships.

Anger Issues

Anger issues involve difficulty managing and expressing anger in healthy ways. This can result in frequent outbursts, overreacting, or struggling to stay in control. Some people may hide their anger or feel it intensely due to unresolved hurt. Learning to manage anger can help improve relationships and personal well-being.

Stress

Stress is a common response to life’s pressures, but when it becomes ongoing, it can affect your health and daily life. Chronic stress can lead to headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, and increased health risks. Managing stress through healthy coping strategies can help improve your quality of life and overall well-being.
