Stress

Everyone experiences moments of stress, and a little stress from time to time can be invigorating, often motivating decisive action. However, staying in a constant state of stress is unhealthy. If you find yourself frequently feeling overwhelmed, it may be time to incorporate stress management strategies into your daily life to maintain a healthier balance.

Chronic stress is a prolonged feeling of stress that can last for weeks or even months. Symptoms include fatigue, headaches, difficulty concentrating, digestive issues, sleep disturbances, muscle aches, and a decrease in sexual drive or function. Over time, chronic stress can increase the risk of developing more serious health conditions, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, anxiety, and depression.

Treatments for Stress

Stress management techniques can both reduce your current symptoms and reduce the chances of future health complications arising from chronic stress.

Methods for managing stress include psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), meditation, art therapy, and yoga therapy.

If you are finding it difficult to deal with stress, please don’t hesitate to contact us to book an appointment to speak to one of our caring therapists.
